The Alps Danube Adriatic (ADA) Regional Tourist Guide Meeting will take place this time in Budapest with all kinds of alluring programs. Our previous conventions were hosted by Bohinj, Slovenia (2018), Grado, Italy (2020) and Bratislava, Slovakia (2023) - this time we are staying close to the previous meeting-town, beside the river Danube in Budapest, Hungary.
Get a glimpse of our beautiful city on classical sightseeing tours combined with visits various famous buildings. Our meeting offers you an excellent chance for general discussions, for networking with colleagues and meeting tourist guides from other countries as well.

Thursday, Jan 16th
17:00 / 5 pm Arrivals and registration at the Hotel BARCELO (excellent location in the city center)

1 hour panoramic evening tour by boat on the (sometimes) blue Danube
Friday, Jan 17th
9 am Greeting by host
10:00 visiting famous buildings of Budapest: the greatest Synagogue of Europe (sponsored by MAZSIHISZ)
11:00 Discovering Budapest: classical Budapest sightseeing tour by bus and on foot (Heroes’ Square, Buda Castle District, Fisherman’s Bastion) – we end our tour at the Big Market Hall
14:00 / 2 pm Lunch on your own (general discussions, networking time)
15:30-17:00 / 3:30-5:00 pm visit of the Opera House of Budapest
17:15 / 5:15 pm Departure for dinner to the restaurant TRÓFEA (on foot) – meet tourist guides from Hungarian Associations (MIE+MISZ)
Saturday, Jan 18th
Field-specific lectures and presentations about tourism - in the hotel's conference room
9:00-12:00 tourist guide business – “Bridging Cultures: Enhancing Art Nouveau Experiences via Cooperation with Tour Guides ”, "Tourism in Hungary" – meet tourist guides from Hungarian Associations (MIE + MISZ)
10:30-10:50 Coffee break
12:00-14:00 / 12-2 pm Lunch on your own (general discussions, networking time)
14:00-16:30 / 2-4:30 pm Departure for a trip, Discovering Budapest part 3 – “Visiting famous buildings of Budapest”: the famous distillery Zwack Unicum (sponsored by Zwack)
18:30 / 6:30 pm Departure for farewell dinner (by bus)
19:30-22:00 / 7-10 pm Farewell Dinner at the restaurant ÍNYENC KERT with music and dance – meet tourist guides from Hungarian Associations (MIE + MISZ)
